Donald G. Burdick, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Burdick has worked in the oil patch for over 34 years. Prior to co-founding Olifant Energy, he was a member of the executive team at Panther Energy II, where they built investment positions in the Permian, Anadarko, Rockies and ArkLaTx areas prior to exiting with a $863MM sale in January of 2017. Mr. Burdick has previously held management positions at Laredo and Questar, and served in technical roles at Cimarex, Vintage, Samson and Marathon. He also serves on the Board of OIPA, as Chairman of the Energy Council for the Tulsa Regional Chamber, as President of ADAM-Tulsa and on other industry and community organizations. Mr. Burdick is a Certified Petroleum Geologist with a BS in geology (magna cum laude) from Duke University and a MS in geology from the University of Oklahoma.
William M. Martin, Chief Operating Officer & President
Mr. Martin is a registered Professional Engineer and has over 20 years of experience in the oil patch. He is a co-founder of Olifant Energy, having previously served as the VP of Reservoir Engineering at Panther Energy II and Panther Energy I. Mr. Martin’s technical and leadership experience also includes positions held at Cimarex, Dominion, Newfield, Landmark-Halliburton and Oryx-Kerr McGee. Mr. Martin is a member of the Missouri S&T Academy of Mines and Metallurgy, SPE Scholarship committee, and past Chair of the Petroleum Industrial Advisory Board at MS&T. He graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology-Rolla with a BS in Geological Engineering (magna cum laude).
Adam W. Robinson, Executive Vice President – Land & Legal
Mr. Robinson has enjoyed over 14 years in the oil patch. As a co-founder and member of the Board at Olifant Energy, Mr. Robinson is leading the land and legal efforts for the team. He previously served as the Mid-Continent Region Land Manager for Cimarex Energy, where he successfully led the efforts to acquire and grow the company’s position in the STACK/MERGE plays. His earlier career includes serving as a Landman at Samson and Zenergy. Mr. Robinson is a AAPL Certified Professional Landman and has held national leadership roles at AAPL. He has multiple degrees from the University of Oklahoma with his most recent being an Executive Energy MBA degree.
Todd A. Harrell, Chief Accounting Officer & Controller
Mr. Harrell has over 12 years in professional finance and accounting, with 4 years specific to the E&P side of the oil patch. Prior to joining the Olifant Energy team, Mr. Harrell served as the Accounting Director at Mid-Continent Group where he managed the corporate and agency accounting departments. Mr. Harrell managed the accounting and finance functions at Panther Energy I for the final two years covering the build and sale at exit of over $620MM in Anadarko Basin assets. After helping to start Panther Energy II, he joined Samson Resources in a supervisory role to assist in the preparation for an IPO. Mr. Harrell also brings an experienced background in financial statement and internal controls from 7 years at Grant Thornton, and as an accounting consultant for other private equity-backed E&P companies. He is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a BS in accounting and a MBA, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
